July has been worse than expected employment
The United States has lost 131,000 jobs in July, more than expected, and according to official figures released Friday show an unemployment rate steady at 9.5%.
The country has lost jobs for the second consecutive month. The Labor Department report showed 131,000 net job destruction, while analysts were expecting 87,000 according to their median forecast.
These job losses have been drawn by the public sector, because of non-renewal of contract 143,000 people hired temporarily for the decennial census.
The private sector created 71,000 jobs, the report said the ministry. It is almost 2.3 times more than the previous month, but less than analysts had expected (83,000).
